Samuel and myself attended a Christian men’s camp at Boegoeberg 4×4 between the mountains over the weekend of 20 August 2021. It was the first time we done something like this. Being in the mountains with Christian men in the presence of God was a huge privilege and blessing.
On day two of the camp Samuel which was eight years old at the time told me that he would like to be baptized. I checked whether he understood the meaning and purpose of the baptism and so he did.
Jacques Malan the facilitator of the camp told Samuel that I should have the honor of baptizing him. Samuel agreed and I immediately prayed with my Samuel.
I then took Samuel into the small pool and by God’s great love and tender mercies I had the honor of baptizing my son. It was the most humbling experience and I thank God for that moment. My cup is running over and I will never forget that moment. Thank you Holy Spirit.
